Industrial Technical Services (ITS) was established by Spencer Tyson in Savannah, Georgia, in 1994. Its roots trace back to 1981 when it operated as an electrical, instrumentation, and controls contracting firm. In 1994, the company expanded its offerings to include a comprehensive range of services that continue to define us today. Recognizing the industry’s need for an in-house provider of electrical, mechanical, and civil construction, we responded by integrating these specialties into our services, a move that has been well-received by our clients.
As ITS has evolved, so has our customer base, which now spans industries such as pulp and paper, chemicals, petroleum, manufacturing, food and beverage, bulk handling, and distribution. The company’s growth is reflected in our team, growing from an original group of six founders to an average workforce of 80 skilled tradespeople. As a family-owned business, we cherish our employees like family, understanding that they are the cornerstone of our success. Many team members have dedicated over 25 years to ITS, and we hope that loyalty and commitment continue to thrive.
